After The Hollywood Reporter released an article earlier this week claiming that Beyoncé had scrapped 50 songs for her much-anticipated fifth album, rumors started to circulate accusing the project of being way behind schedule.

Here’s the drop:

Mrs. Carter’s fans are anxiously awaiting a new release that many believed the singer would release in the spring. She has been busy unveiling new material in ad campaigns for H&M and Pepsi and singing to sold-out arenas on her Mrs. Carter world tour, although no official single has been released to date.

Top producers Diplo and Ne-Yo both spoke out to the press recently saying they had submitted new material to the star that had not been approved for the new album – continuing to help spread rumors that the her album was in fact way behind deadline.

THR reports that the singer’s label, Columbia, had hoped to release Bey’s new album in the spring, but they’re now planning for a big release in November alongside other mega stars like Katy Perry and Lady GaGa.

Beyoncé’s reps have reportedly responded to the rumors saying that she hasn’t scrapped new songs and an official release date for the new album was never set, although she continues to work on new music.

As fans continue to flock to sold-out dates on her world tour and dance to new tunes “Grown Woman” and “Dancing On the Sun,” one things for sure: Whatever the queen has in the works, her devoted fans know it’s worth waiting for.
