FCI Danbury Gives Teresa Giudice Her Prison Rules!!!

Looks like Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice got at least one wish and that will be that she will be serving her 15 month stint in a low security prison.

Teresa is the newest addition to the FCI Danbury, the federal correctional institution upon which Orange Is the New Black is based. However, prison rules, contrary to the title of the popular Netflix series — the RHONJ star will be outfitted not in bright tangerine but in dull neutrals.

CelebNMusic247.com has the tea on Teresa new residence in Connecticut.

According to the FCI Danbury handbook obtained by Us Weekly, inmates are required to be in uniform (khaki pants and a khaki shirt) from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. every weekday. However, they can also purchase clothing from the commissary in pastel green, gray, or white. Footwear is limited to work boots, shower shoes, sneakers (in black, white, or gray), slippers, and one pair of “casual” shoes.

Personal items are limited, as well. The handbook states that an inmate is allowed to have a “plain wedding band,” but very little else.

In terms of visitation, prisoners are given 12 points every month that can be used toward visiting privileges. Weekday visits are worth one point, compared with two points for Saturday or Sunday. No gifts may be exchanged, and both the inmate and the visitor “must be appropriately dressed.”

“Kissing, embracing, and hand-shaking/holding are allowed only upon arrival or departure,” the handbook dictates. “Displays of affection must be within the bounds of good taste. Physical contact during the visit is prohibited.”
The handbook also states that all able prisoners are required to complete a job assignment. Additionally, they’re responsible for making their beds every morning and sweeping and mopping their cell floor.

It’s not all work, though. Per the handbook, a variety of recreational activities are offered through the prison, including art classes, intramural sports leagues, and music instruction. TV is available during off-hours, as well — but it’s unclear whether The Real Housewives of New Jersey is on the approved viewing list.

Giudice, 42, is scheduled to enter FCI Danbury in January 2015.
