Marvel Wins Release Date Batman vs Superman Moves!

It was set for Marvel and DC Comics to go head to head pitting Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice against Captain America 3 but Marvel Wins Release Date Batman vs Superman Moves!

CelebNMusic247.com has the deets in regards to the decade-long battle between DC and Marvel, pitting Captain America 3 against Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice in a box office showdown.

Here’s the breakdown now that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has moved its release date outside the summer season, and officially releasing the new DC Comics film on March 25, 2016.

This gives Captain America 3 a broad space to cash in at the box office on it’s release date of May 6, 2016.

Here’s the breakdown:

After months of speculation, the release date war of Batman V Superman Dawn of Justice and Captain America 3 has been resolved, with the former moving from its May 6, 2016 release date up to March 25th, 2016 (The Wrap). The gigantic game of release date chicken began back in January of this year when Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice (oh god, that title!) was delayed from its intended July 17th, 2015 release date and moved into the May 6th, 2016 slot where Walt Disney Marvel had slotted an untitled Marvel comic book property.

Marvel made the next move slotting Ant Man in the now occupied July slot and announcing that the Marvel movie to kick off summer 2016 would be Captain America 3.

As for, March, it has been Zach Snyder‘s usual release month, and he’s done well there, but the only Batman or Superman movie ever released outside of the traditional summer season (June or July, specifically) was the Christmas release of 1978’s Superman: The Movie. This is a pretty major change, partially dictated by overseas demands, but also certainly to get away from the Marvel juggernaut and allow DC momentum to do their own thing.

It’s also been announced that the film will be released in 3D.
