Star Wars Episode VII Casting Almost Complete

Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn reveals that casting for Star Wars Episode VII is said to be almost complete.

CelebNMusic247.com has learned that filming for the new Star Wars movie is filming in Moracco.

We’ve heard that filming on Star Wars: Episode VII will begin on May 14th with two weeks of location work in Morocco.  The report points out that, last we heard, Lucas’ original Star Wars sets were still standing in a state of dilapidation in Morocco, and goes on to theorize that Abrams may possibly be using the natural weatherization of the Tatooine sets to his advantage by capturing a more worn-down planet, according to Badass Digest.  CelebNMusic247.com has also got the drop via The Hollywood Reporter that most of the cast for the forthcoming film are “in place.”

Alan Horn said:

“We have a lot of them. We’re just not completely done yet.”

Horn speaks on the many stars that have been rumored to be attached to the Star Wars Episode VII  like Lupita Nyong’o, Michael Fassbender, Hugo Weaving and Adam Driver are said to be negotiating roles. Other stars rumored to be linked to the film are Zac Efron and Breaking Bad star Jesse Plemons.

Though, Horn also reveals in the interview that the screenplay for Episode VII is complete, emphasising the importance of getting the script right.

He said:

“It’s all about the screenplay.”

“It has to be screenplay, screenplay, screenplay.”

The script has been co-written by Lawrence Kasdan and director JJ Abrams, following an early draft from Michael Arndt.

As for the Tatooine sets, New York-based photographer Rä di Martino rouses the Star Wars fan in all of us in Every World’s A Stage, a series of photos of the abandoned Hollywood sets constructed for the epic George Lucas film.

Star Wars: Episode VII is planned for a December 18, 2015 theatrical release.
