You’ve Just been Unfriended, so beware or your dead! That the new vision of horror from Universals new horror film Unfriended First Look Trailer.

By know most of the world has Facebook and even if we know it or not someone has Unfriended you. Why? Who cares actually, that’s their issue, but NOT in the new film Unfriended. After a group of friends post a video of one of their drunken friends passed out at a party. She is apparently so embarrassed by the backlash on Facebook that she takes her own life.

The new genre horror film taps into the ongoing issue of cyber-bullying, but takes things a step further and this time around each of the hecklers gets offed one by one via computer video for all to watch. Each of the friends are forced to watch each bully get snuffed on their computer while in a chatroom on the anniversary of the victims death.

The film was originally titled CyberNatural, but Universal Pictures has done a change up to make the film relevant with today’s lingo, titling the new horror film, Unfriended. It’s catchy, right? Thank you, marketing team at Universal.

We are already hearing the film will keep you on the edge of your seat and pushes the horror envelope. We think it has potential and will definitely be checking this movie out.

Here is the synopsis from Unfriended:

A group of online chat room friends find themselves haunted by a mysterious, supernatural force using the account of their dead friend. After a video post of a girl named Laura Barns whose wild drunken night antics were filmed and anonymously uploaded online. The girl could not bear online bullying following the emergence of the video and committed suicide. One year later, an unidentified user joins the group’s video chat session, threatening the group to reveal who posted the video. “Tell me who posted the video… or someone dies,” the message reads.
